In its March 2022 fruit bulletin, the Office of Agrarian Studies and Policies (Odepa) reports a 28.3% volume and 24.6% value decrease in dried fruit exports in February 2022, totaling 3,917 tons and USD 22.18 million FOB. The majority of the exports consisted of shelled walnuts, followed by shelled almonds and walnuts in shell. The main destinations for these exports were France, Brazil, and the Netherlands for walnuts, Argentina, Ecuador, and Russia for almonds, and India, Belarus, and Russia for walnuts in shell. This decline in dried fruit exports follows a similar trend seen in January 2022.
