The Chilean Blueberry Committee (ASOEX) and consulting firm iQonsulting have predicted an 8% decrease in fresh blueberry exports for the 2022-2023 season, with a projected total of 98,228 tons. This forecast, announced at Fruittrade 2022, attributes the decline to market competition and variety renewal for other uses. Despite the decrease, the industry remains optimistic due to improved export conditions such as better fruit quality from cooler temperatures and increased worker availability.
