Ukraine has officially gained access to the wheat flour market of the People's Republic of China. The relevant protocol, which defines the inspection, phytosanitary, and sanitary requirements for the products, was signed on April 6 by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. Despite the opening of the market at the interstate level, the director of the Association "Mills of Ukraine" Rodion Rybchinsky notes that quick shipments should not be expected. According to him, the document only creates a legal and technical basis for future cooperation. "The signing of this Protocol is an important step towards expanding the access of Ukrainian products to the market of the People's Republic of China. The document sets clear and transparent requirements for production, control, and export, which forms predictable conditions for the work of Ukrainian producers. This opens up new opportunities for increasing the export of value-added products, in particular wheat flour.
