In 2020, China's garlic exports to Russia surged, with a 928% increase in volume and a 1,305% increase in value compared to the previous year, making Russia a key market for Chinese garlic. China was the world's leading garlic exporter, accounting for 80% of the global garlic exports, with Indonesia, Vietnam, and the United States being the largest importers. Manchuria, located in China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, was the primary hub for exporting Chinese garlic to Russia. The exports consisted of various forms, with fresh and refrigerated garlic making up 89.2% of the exports and dried garlic accounting for 10.1%.
