The Export Council for Food Industries confirmed that Egypt's chocolate exports achieved a noticeable surge during 2025, recording $273.4 million compared to $178.6 million in 2024, with a growth rate of about 53%. The Council explained that the exported quantities of chocolate rose from 35.4 thousand tons in 2024 to 39.8 thousand tons in 2025, with a growth rate of nearly 12.5%, reflecting a balanced growth in value and quantity, and confirming the improvement of the competitiveness of the Egyptian product in foreign markets. The Council pointed out that this strong performance is consistent with Egypt's ranking of 11th globally in chocolate exports during 2024, according to the latest announcement by the International Trade Centre of the United Nations.
