The Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA) recently participated in a meeting with the Sectorial Chamber of the Productive Chain of Cassava and Derivatives to discuss the state of the cassava market. The meeting highlighted the challenges faced by producers such as low prices and increased production costs, which could potentially lead to a decrease in domestic cassava availability by the latter half of 2021. Brazil, being the world's fifth-largest cassava producer and a significant consumer, has the potential to grow economically by enhancing the chain and managing rural property. The meeting also touched on the actions of the Chamber, the enhancement of phytosanitary defense, and the opportunities presented by the high prices of corn.
