Between January and July of this year, Peru experienced a significant decrease in unsweetened cocoa powder exports, with a drop from 3,190,041 kilos in the same period of 2019 to 1,575,195 kilos in 2020, valued at US $ 8,040,966 and US $ 3,733,469 respectively. The United States was the primary recipient of these exports, followed by Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Australia, and Bolivia. The main companies involved in these exports were Machu Picchu Foods, Exportadora Romex SA, Villa Andina SAC, Nutry Body SAC, and Ecoandino SAC.
