A shipment of special coffee from the Chapada de Minas Region in Brazil, valued at R$ 400 thousand, has arrived at an Australian port, following a partnership with Sebrae Minas to boost the sector's market positioning. The region's coffee, produced in the cities of Capelinha, José Gonçalves de Minas and Água Boa, is marked with a strategy to add value and reinforce the product's origin. This approach promotes direct negotiation, traceability, and transparency, contributing to a nearly 15% price increase. Minas Gerais, the largest coffee-producing state in Brazil, is actively working towards establishing more controlled origins to further differentiate its coffee products. This initiative is supported by Sebrae Minas, which has aided in the organization of small and medium-sized producers, leading to increased production volume and quality.
