Despite the pandemic and social isolation, Colombia's agricultural exports reached USD 3,181 million in the first five months of the year. However, the external sales of the agricultural and food sector saw a 2.1% drop. Despite this, fresh fruits such as mangoes, avocados, and oranges, as well as beef, canned fish, coffee extracts, malt extract, soybean oil, and sugar saw significant increases in exports. The manufacturing sector also saw an increase in exports of vehicle bodies, electrical transformers, paper and cardboard products, seats, and bitumen, among others.
