Comptroller Warns of Missed Timeline for Reducing Malnutrition and Anemia in Tumbes

The General Comptroller alerted that the Social Development Management of the Tumbes Regional Government failed to comply with the schedule of the project aimed at reducing malnutrition and anemia in children under 5 years old and pregnant mothers, due to delays and deficiencies in procurement processes. This situation generated delays in the adaptation and equipment of health centers with a budget of S/6 million. The project began in December 2023 and would last 15 months. Regarding this, they have not built or enabled modules to provide early stimulation and breastfeeding counseling services in 11 health centers, valued at S/719,000 and scheduled for execution in the second and third months of the timeline.
