The first Vietnamese Fruit Festival in Beijing showcased the potential for Vietnamese fruits to increase their market presence in China, with durian being the most valuable export. The event highlighted the necessity for Vietnamese agricultural products to comply with China's strict food safety and quarantine standards, supported by recent agreements like the Protocol on exporting frozen durian and fresh coconut. Nguyen Quang Hieu stressed the importance of regulatory compliance to avoid international warnings and protect the industry's and nation's reputation.
