Peru, through the National Forestry and Wildlife Service (Serfor), presented at COP30 the Work Plan 2025-2027, which focuses on strengthening regional cooperation, sharing experiences, and implementing policies and actions for sustainable management. Our country is the leader of the Amazon Network of Forest Authorities (RAFO), which is made up of the member countries of the Amazon Treaty for Cooperation Organization (OTCA): Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela. Within the framework of this work plan, Peru announced that with the support of the OTCA, it is coordinating the drafting of a functional coordination protocol with the Amazon Network for Integrated Fire Management (RAMIF) and the Amazon Network of Water Authorities (RADA), to consolidate a stronger regional response to deforestation, forest fires, and water stress.
