Corn prices in Ukraine have increased by 150-200 UAH/t over the week.

The rise in demand for Ukrainian corn from Turkey has somewhat stimulated demand from European buyers who are trying to purchase the necessary batches while prices in Ukraine have not yet increased. During the week, export prices for corn in Ukraine increased by 150-200 UAH/ton to 10950-11100 UAH/ton or 220-223 $/ton with delivery to the ports of the Black Sea, but farmers continue to restrain sales in anticipation of further growth. Cold weather is delaying the sowing of spring crops, so in the next two to three weeks, farmers will not be able to actively engage in the shipment and sale of corn, which will increase the supply deficit and lead to further price increases. Processors have also raised corn prices to levels of 9800-10200 UAH/ton with delivery to the plant, which increases competition with exporters.
