During a State visit to China, Vietnam and China signed three protocols, enabling the export of fresh coconuts, frozen durians, and crocodiles to China. This agreement is anticipated to boost Vietnam's agricultural trade relations with China and offers significant opportunities for these products. Frozen durian, a high-value product with potential for substantial export earnings, is expected to reach an export turnover of 400-500 million USD in 2024. The export of fresh coconuts could generate 200-300 million USD in 2024, and the crocodile industry's growth in the Chinese market is expected to provide numerous opportunities for sustainable development. The protocols address inspection, plant quarantine, food safety, and health requirements, marking a milestone in agricultural trade between the two nations.
