The Regional Management of Agriculture of Cusco reported that it continues to develop the Comprehensive Animal Health Campaign in different communities of the district of Kunturkanki, province of Canas. The actions are aimed at controlling internal and external parasites in sheep and South American camelids.
Furthermore, the disinfection of pens and sleeping areas is carried out, as well as the deworming of dogs and cats.
This important intervention is executed through the Agri-Food Safety Project, with the purpose of strengthening livestock production, improving the health of the cattle, and contributing to the obtaining of healthy and safe food for the families of Cusco.
The project seeks to improve productivity and strengthen the capacity of local producers through the provision of specialized technical assistance, in addition to the development of competencies in fundamental topics such as the proper management of pastures and the promotion of good agricultural and livestock practices.
