Recently, under the supervision of the Dalian Customs at the Dajiaowan Customs, 14.96 tons of smoked oyster cans passed inspection and were successfully cleared for export to overseas markets.
Oysters are a geographical indication product of Dalian city, known for their fresh, sweet, and plump qualities, with an annual production exceeding 300,000 tons. Relying on local high-quality oyster raw materials, Dalian smoked oyster cans have a full texture and combine the aroma of smoke with freshness. These classic products are exported to more than ten countries and regions, including Japan and the European Union.
The Dalian Customs has launched initiatives such as "Ten Thousand" and "Customs Director Delivers Policies at Your Doorstep" to provide services to enterprises, briefing them on the latest food import and export policies and regulations, dynamically monitoring and organizing the product standards, enterprise qualifications, and raw material sources of importing countries (regions) and their changes, helping enterprises quickly grasp foreign food safety requirements and limit standards, and guiding enterprises to continuously improve their food safety and quality management systems.
According to statistics, from January to September this year, the Dalian Customs has supervised the export of 753 tons of oyster cans, with a total value of 31.82 million yuan, representing year-on-year increases of 37.91% and 21.91%, respectively. (Written by Takada Ichiro, Cui Qiao, and Shao Yan)
