Damietta Port has handled 16 container ships and general cargo over the past 24 hours, with imports including thousands of tons of corn, beans, and ethylene chloride, and exports including urea, molasses, and cement. The port also processed significant amounts of soybeans, wheat, plywood, beech wood, scrap, and various agricultural products. The total export movement from containers was 638, and the total incoming containers was 459 TEUs, with 3781 trucks handled. The port has berths for various purposes and is one of the oldest ports in Egypt.
