Demand and prices for imported tomatoes in Ukraine are falling

This is reported by analysts of the EastFruit project. It is noted that last week only single batches of local greenhouse vegetables went on sale, as most greenhouse farms in Ukraine have already completed the sales season. At the same time, the offer of imported tomatoes on the Ukrainian market continued to gradually increase, which became the main reason for the decrease in prices in this segment. So, greenhouse tomatoes went on sale at UAH 70-80/kg ($1.68-1.92/kg), which is on average 11% cheaper than a week earlier. The main reason for the negative price trend in the greenhouse tomato segment is the sharp decrease in demand for these products, as well as the quality of the vegetables offered.
