Mr Abhisit was joined by deputy party leaders Chaichana Detdacho, Sathit Wongnongtoey and Issara Sunthornwat to help campaign for Chanaphat Rattanaphan, the party's MP candidate for Nakhon Si Thammarat's Constituency 5, on Sunday. The team visited Thung Song Municipal Fresh Market, where they were welcomed by supporters. Speaking from a campaign vehicle, Mr Abhisit greeted residents in the southern dialect and thanked them for their long-standing support for the Democrat Party. He recalled the party's close ties with Thung Song, noting the work of former MP Prakob Rattanaphan, particularly in education policy. He also reminded voters that during the Democrat-led government, agricultural prices -- especially rubber and palm oil -- were well managed. "When I was prime minister, rubber prices exceeded 100 baht per kilogramme, but current prices are around 50 baht," he said. "This time, prices will definitely exceed 80 baht."
