Turkiye: Denizli, the milk production center of the Aegean

DENİZLİ (İHA) – Denizli, which ranks 5th in Turkey in terms of the amount of raw milk supplied to the industry, is the province with the most milk collection centers in the Aegean Region. The dairy industry is among the most dynamic production areas in the livestock sector. When the number of animals and milk production amounts by species in Turkey are examined, the number of cattle in Denizli is 262,500, the number of cattle farming enterprises is 19,076, the number of small cattle is 672,683, and the number of enterprises is 7,847. There are 91 disease-free enterprises and 3 approved dairy farms in the province. Denizli, which ranks 4th in terms of disease-free enterprises in Turkey, obtains 90.5 percent of the milk produced from cattle.
