In 2022, Denmark experienced a 29.2% decrease in pork exports to China, totaling 368,390 tons with revenue dropping by 22.4% to EUR 857 million. Despite this, China remained the largest market for Danish pork. Sh shipments to other countries like Japan and the Philippines saw an increase, while sales to South Korea and Ukraine declined. Within the EU, Danish pork sales rose by 6.4% to 624,930 tonnes, with Germany and Poland being the largest importers. There was also a notable 29.3% growth in exports to Spain and an 11.0% increase in live pig exports to the EU. Overall, EU sales of Danish pork increased by 8.3%, reaching 1.07 million tonnes.
