Japanese beer consumption is on the rise, with over 80% of consumers either maintaining or increasing their frequency of beer consumption compared to the previous year, making it the country's most popular alcoholic beverage. The data shows that 51% of Japanese consumers prefer beer when dining out, with domestic beer being the most regularly consumed. Loyalty to favorite brands is strong, especially for domestic beers, with 65% of consumers opting for established brands. However, there is also potential for growth for new and international brands, as consumption rates across all beer types are increasing. CGA's findings suggest that while brand and country loyalty are important, there is also a market for innovation in the Japanese beer industry.
