Dragon fruit cultivation is on the rise in Cumilla, Bangladesh, particularly in Debidwar upazila, with five villages now engaged in its farming. Abul Fayez Munshi, a young entrepreneur, has planted the fruit on two acres of land in Chhepara village, inspired by YouTube tutorials, and expects to earn over 0.65 million taka within two years. The fruit, known for its nutritional value, thrives in Cumilla's soil and has become popular due to its unique taste and high demand. Other upazilas like Chandina, Barura, Lalmai, and Sadar Dakshin are also engaging in large-scale dragon fruit cultivation, making it a significant agricultural activity in the region.
