Between February 2022 and February 2023, Ukraine saw a significant surge in business registration, with 17.1 thousand new companies and 178.5 thousand sole proprietorships, many of which were involved in grain and leguminous crop cultivation, as well as wholesale grain trade. The highest number of registrations was in the Kiev region, with significant growth especially in the spring. This surge was attributed to the expansion of industrial regions, adaptation of the military-financial industry, improvement of logistics routes, and the restart of Black Sea exports.
