Increase in exports of greens and fall in exports of potatoes, results of December 2022 in Serbia

The final month of 2022 in the foreign trade of fruits and vegetables in Serbia was marked by several events at once. December turned out to be rather unfortunate for Serbian exporters of potatoes and nuts. At the same time, local greenery producers, on the contrary, continued to increase their sales abroad. In the fruit segment, a significant change occurred in the import of apples, which was significantly lower than last year. Vegetables December 2022 brought disappointment to local potato exporters, the decline in tuber sales to foreign markets has been observed for a long period and the last month of the year was no exception. Thus, Serbian farmers managed to sell only 19 tons of potatoes abroad, which is almost 22 times less than the supply of this vegetable in December 2021.
