Egypt's wheat imports will increase by 14.5% in 2023, with the country importing 11 million tons, compared to 9.6 million tons in 2022. The number of organizations importing wheat to Egypt has increased to 45, up from 31 in 2022, with the main importer being the Goods Supply Authority (GASC). The Minister of Internal Trade of Egypt, Ali Moselhi, stated that the region has enough wheat supply to meet domestic consumption needs for 4.8 months, and in the beginning of 2023, the export of Ukrainian wheat to Egypt decreased by 204.3 thousand tons.
