Egyptian ports are receiving 505,000 tons of clean dry bulk, including corn, wheat, and sugar, for both the private sector and the General Authority for Supply Commodities. Dekheila, Alexandria, and Damietta ports have received shipments from countries such as Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, and Bulgaria. The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade expects a delayed shipment of 430,000 tons of Russian wheat to arrive in November. The tender to purchase 3.8 million tons of wheat, announced in August, has ended, and the ministry plans to continue importing wheat through direct purchase or tenders, regardless of the tax imposed by Russia on wheat exports.
