Embrapa Cerrados has set up demonstration fields in Planaltina and Recanto das Emas to showcase 32 cultivars of corn, sorghum, and millet. The initiative aims to present the agronomic potential of these cultivars, some of which are still in development, and to evaluate their pest and disease resistance in the Cerrado region. The project also includes training courses for multiplying agents and is seeking licensees to produce and sell the seeds. The showcases are expected to enhance the visibility of Embrapa's materials in the market and promote grain production in the Brasília region.
