Iksan city in Jeollabuk-do, South Korea, plans to build a company-customized rice production complex spanning 3,100 hectares to supply high-quality rice to instant rice manufacturers like CJ, Harim, and Bon IF. The complex aims to maintain quality from seed supply to post-harvest management, producing 24,400 tons of rice expected to generate 45 billion won in sales. Iksan, which already has the fifth largest rice paddy area and production in the country, claims to produce the best high-quality raw material grains by minimizing variety mixing and maintaining a strong relationship with large companies to ensure a steady supply for the instant rice market.
