Strategie Grains has reduced its forecast for European Union wheat production due to disappointing crop results and adverse weather conditions. The consultancy now expects EU soft wheat production to reach 124.7 million metric tons in 2023/24, slightly lower than the previous forecast. The firm also revised down its estimates for EU corn, barley, rapeseed, and sunflower production, citing drought, heatwaves, and heavy rains as contributing factors.
