From the start of the current season through June 4, EU countries imported 17.98 million tons of meal, a 1% decrease compared to the same period last year. Soybean meal imports dropped by 4% to 14.23 million tons, while sunflower meal imports increased by 16% to 2.988 million tons, and rapeseed meal imports rose by 1% to 0.76 million tons. The primary suppliers of soybean meal to the EU are Brazil and Argentina, with Ukraine, Russia, and Argentina being the main sources of sunflower meal. Rapeseed meal is mainly imported from Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine.
