Due to insufficient rainfall in southern Ukraine, the Ukrainian Nut Association is advising farmers to shift from corn and sunflowers to almond plantations. The profitability of grain production in the Odessa region has significantly decreased over the past 20 years, and in some years, farmers have lost the grain harvest. The Nut Association, along with climatologists, soil scientists, and microbiologists, has developed alternative directions for agribusiness, one of which is almond growing. Almonds are a drought-resistant plant with a high economic effect.
