The Chechen Republic in Russia has seen a 45% increase in agricultural exports from January to July 2021, totaling USD 6.4 million (26.7 thousand tons), compared to the same period last year. The increase is attributed to a record harvest of grain and leguminous crops last year. The main importers of these products were Turkey, Israel, Belarus, and Uzbekistan. Cereals made up 93.6% of the total export value. On the other hand, agricultural imports into the region have decreased by more than two times compared to the previous year, with live trees and other plants making up 96.1% of the total import value.
