In the first two months of 2003, Ukraine experienced a significant increase in dairy product exports, with a 55% rise compared to the same period in the previous year, totaling 16.4 thousand tons. This surge in exports led to a 33% increase in their value, reaching $35.8 million. The period saw a notable growth in cheese exports, particularly to Kazakhstan, and a doubling of ice cream exports, primarily to Moldova and Poland. There was also a substantial rise in the export of condensed milk and cream, especially to Poland, and in butter exports, with Moldova, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan being the main recipients. Overall, Ukraine's dairy industry has shown resilience and adaptability in overcoming challenges, as reported by the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business (UKAB).
