Export of dragon fruit reaches a record level

This figure is expected to rise further thanks to abundant supply from the Central Highlands. On October 1, the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (Vinafruit) announced impressive figures on longan exports. In August 2025 alone, the export value reached 589 million USD, a 55% increase from July and a 10% increase from the same period last year. This is a record number since Vietnam officially signed the protocol to export longan to China. Cumulatively for the first 8 months of 2025, the total export value of longan reached 1.79 billion USD. The Chinese market continues to be the main driving force, accounting for the overwhelming majority of the market. In August 2025 alone, China imported 572 million USD, accounting for 97% of the total export value.
