In 2020, farmers from Tajikistan's Sughd region saw a significant increase in dried fruit exports, with a total of 17.3 thousand tons exported, an increase of nearly 3 thousand tons from the previous year. These exports earned the region $ 7 million, a significant increase of $ 1.720 million from the year before. The exports were made to 14 countries, with Kazakhstan being the largest consumer. Dried apricots were the primary export, with over 11.1 thousand tons exported, contributing to a customs value of $ 4.6 million. Other dried fruits such as plums, apples, peaches, and pears were also exported in smaller quantities compared to the previous year.
