In 2023, Bashkiria saw a significant increase in agricultural exports, with a 1.8 times rise from the previous year, totaling 750 thousand tons. Kazakhstan was the primary recipient, accounting for nearly a third of these exports, primarily grains and oilseeds. Bashkortostan's head, Radiy Khabirov, plans to further strengthen economic ties with Kazakhstan, including increasing flight connectivity between Ufa and Kazakhstan's cities, Astana and Almaty.
