According to Fresh Fruit, as of November 2025, Peru exported $1454 million in cocoa and derivatives, surpassing the total recorded in 2024, which reached $1239 million. Just like the previous year, this result was marked by the behavior of the international price. However, by 2026 this momentum could moderate in the face of a higher supply scenario and a progressive normalization of prices. The cocoa during 2025 leaves an uncomfortable lesson: export growth is no longer explained just by more shipments, but by a permanently changing international market price. The December rebound —after ICCO cuts, lower ICE inventories, and mixed signals from West Africa— coexists with an equally relevant figure: cooling demand (weak grindings). At this juncture, Peru reaches a historical record, Ecuador maintains leadership by scale, and Colombia and Brazil take advantage to increase the highest prices.
