Exports of dragon fruit set a record at 4 trillion VND, claiming the 'king' position in the fruit industry.

According to the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (Vinafruit), the estimated export turnover of fruits and vegetables in 2025 is around 8.59 billion USD, an increase of nearly 20% compared to 2024. The main growth drivers are key fruits such as durian, banana, mango, dragon fruit, coconut, and grapefruit. According to Mr. Dang Phuc Nguyen, the most successful item is durian as Vietnam has timely implemented control measures, improved quality, and successfully handled the cadmium and lead issues to meet the requirements of the Chinese market. After a short period of being affected, Vietnam's durian exports to China have strongly recovered, taking the lead in this market, while Thailand also faced similar difficulties.
