South Africa's adverse weather conditions have led to a decrease in orange production, causing difficulties in harvesting and transportation. This has resulted in a decline in global supply, which has been compensated by increased Peruvian orange exports. In July, Peruvian orange shipments saw a 22% increase in volume and a 168% increase in value compared to the previous year. The Netherlands was the largest importer of these oranges, accounting for 60.4% of the total export value. The Valencia variety dominated Peruvian orange exports, and Selva Industrial S.A., Procesadora Laran S.A.C., and Grupo Comercial Campo Verde S.A.C were the leading exporting companies.
