The FASFC currently observes a significant number of cases of non-compliance with the maximum residue limits (MRL) of plant protection products in fresh herbs from Israel, in particular in mint and basil, during its inspections, the FASFC reports. The observed MRL exceedances concern the following plant protection product residues: Some of the observed MRL exceedances (dimethoate, omethoate, methomyl and chlorpyrifos) posed a serious health risk.
