Prices for broiler, layer poultry, cattle, duck, rabbit, sheep, pigeon, quail, turkey, camel, horse, ostrich, and concentrate feeds were noted to vary. Additionally, the prices for imported and local yellow corn, chopped cotton seeds, flax meal, coarse bran, soybean meal, gluten feed, and local gelatin were highlighted. The increase in global stock exchange prices of raw materials such as soybean meal, corn, and sunflower meal, the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war, and rising global fuel prices were cited as contributing factors. Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed, head of the Poultry Wealth Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, also commented on the situation, mentioning the variation in imported corn prices and the factors influencing the final feed price for different types of fodder.
