The 13th Vietnam International Cashew Conference, attended by representatives from over 40 countries, was held in Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province. The conference addressed the challenges faced by the global cashew industry, including Covid-19, world conflict, and high inflation. Vietnam, a key player in the global cashew industry, was discussed for its role in importing nearly 65% of the world's raw cashew output and accounting for nearly 80% of cashew kernel exports. The conference also proposed solutions to reshape the global cashew supply chain and adjust the global cashew price chain. Vietnam's cashew kernel exports are projected to increase by 24.33% in 2023, generating nearly 3.583 billion USD, an 18.78% increase from 2022.
