The Aquitaine Fishermen's Association in France has been certified for line-fed albacore in the Bay of Biscay by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). This marks an unprecedented collaboration between French and Spanish fisheries, following a Spanish fishery's certification in 2016. The French fishery, with 51 vessels, will now be able to use the MSC label, supporting its market presence and price stability. The certification is expected to facilitate better management of fisheries and enhance France-Spain collaboration in the Bay of Biscay.
