The fishing and aquaculture industries continue to be the main engines of foreign trade in the Los Lagos region, with exports reaching 3.23 billion dollars in the first half of the year, an increase of 6.2%.
Salmon and trout exports were the highest, reaching 2.83 billion dollars (an increase of 3%), followed by mussels, with exports reaching 205 million dollars (an increase of 29.6%), and bamboo shellfish exports were 56 million dollars, a year-on-year increase of 3%.
