Food production in Russia in 2025 decreased by 0.4%

Food production in the Russian Federation in 2025 decreased by 0.4%, beverage production by 3.3%, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported yesterday. Tobacco product production increased by 6.7%. In December, food production also decreased by 0.4% year-on-year, beverage production increased by 3.5%, and tobacco product production by 25.9%. Rosstat also reported that meat production (excluding poultry meat) in 2025 amounted to 3.9 million tons, which is 1.6% more than in 2024, poultry meat production amounted to 5.3 million tons (2.1% more), sausage production amounted to 2.5 million tons (0.4% less).
