Argentina experienced a decline in meat exports in May, marking the third consecutive month of decrease, with a 7.8% drop month-on-month and 16.8% year-on-year decrease. The majority of the decline was due to a decrease in exports to China, which accounted for 69.2% of Argentine beef exports in May. Despite this, the first five months of 2024 saw a 13.3% increase in exports compared to the same period in 2023, generating 1.2% more revenue. There was also a notable increase in shipments of chilled boneless meat to the EU, while shipments to Chile and Israel reached their lowest points in 2024 due to seasonality.
