From the right of Egyptian fruits and vegetables to expand – the government to raise agricultural exports to 6 million tons

The plan for the fiscal year 2021/2022, which was approved by the House of Representatives, aims to increase Egyptian exports of agricultural products from (5) million tons in 20/2021 to about 5.25 million tons in 21/2022, and up to 6 million tons in 2025, allowing an increase in Export receipts from about 2.5 billion dollars in the current situation to more than 3.2 billion dollars in the year of the plan.
This comes through the expansion of the export of surplus crops, which enjoy a competitive advantage in international markets, as they have advantages that enable them to access various markets, especially fruits and vegetables. Among the crops, horticultural crops with an export surplus, that is, those whose self-sufficiency rates exceed 100%, such as vegetables (zucchini / peppers / beans), onions, garlic and citrus fruits, with the manufacture and storage of surplus non-export vegetables and olive cultivations to secure food in times of crises and price fluctuations. , especially in the periods between the lugs, and with the expansion, the cultivated areas amounting to about 300,000 feddans, by adding 40,000 feddans, and completing the planting of one million trees.
