South Korea: The rice oat district in Gangjin-gun was selected for a 3 billion won public offering

(Gangjin = Yonhap News) Reporter Jo Geun-young = Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 26th that the rice oat district in Gangjin was selected as the only rural convergence industrial district construction project held by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food this year. Through the selection of the public offering project, the military will invest 3 billion won (50% from the state budget, 50% from the local budget) from this year to 2025 to build a rice oat processing facility. It will also create a rice oat district where primary, secondary and tertiary industries converge by supporting joint brand development, product marketing, and development of experience and tourism programs. Gangjin is the nation's largest rice oat cultivation complex with 230 farms and 800ha cultivation area producing 2,700 tons per year.
