Gangjin-gun in Jeollanam-do, South Korea, has been selected to develop a rural convergence industrial district, specializing in rice oat processing. The project will receive funding of 3 billion won from the military, with the aim to bring together primary, secondary, and tertiary industries. Located as the largest rice oat cultivation complex in the nation, Gangjin is known for its high-quality produce and will use this initiative to enhance product marketing and tourism. The military plans to expand its product range and achieve sales of 5 billion won this year.
