According to the Gangwon Branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (headed by Kim Kyung-rok), Gangwon Ginseng Cooperative member Ham Seung-beom (Ham's farm) was selected as a recipient of the 2025 "New Young Farmer Award" and received the honor at the awards ceremony held on December 1 at the National Cooperative Central Hall. The "New Young Farmer Award" is an award given annually since 2017 by the National Cooperative Central Association to discover and nurture promising young farmers who will lead the future of agriculture and rural areas. This year, a total of 20 young farmers nationwide, including member Ham, were on the list of awardees. Member Ham Seung-beom, influenced by his father who cultivates ginseng, began farming in 2012 while attending university and has been in agriculture for 13 years.
